The 41st Annual Assembly of the Latin American Council of Management Schools (Cladea), which is headquartered in Lima, Peru, was held on Sunday September 10 to Wednesday September 13, 2006 at the Corum de Montpellier, organised by Montpellier Business School.
This year’s theme was “Latin America and the European Union: Opportunities and Challenges”, broken down into 12 fields of study representing the major management and administration disciplines. The following figures demonstrate the size and interest in this event, whose principal sponsors were Orange-France-Telecom and the Regional Council: 290 conferences were presented by researchers from 33 countries, including 16 European countries, 14 Latin American countries, China, the USA and Canada.
In addition to research professors, the 600 participants attending the assembly comprised representatives from Management Schools, University Chancellors, Deans, Programme Directors, International Relations Directors, Post-graduates and representatives from companies. The quality of the conferences, the young researchers’ Pre-doctoral colloquia, the Round Tables and forums illustrated Sup de CO Montpellier’s know-how in the international area and proved to the participants how well merited our reputation was in Europe and outside Europe.
